Being a part of a bigger project about ‘Japanese Fairy Tales’, this series of five brooches projects the symbolism of numbers and materials. Each brooch functions as a personal shrine. In every shrine holds one of the five cosmic elements. Five being a holy number. The silver design refers to the architectural components as they appear in the traditional Japanese buildings. The opposite forms protect and cherish the elementary treasures hidden inside.
