Ruby, one of the most prized gems in the world, is a mineral in the corundum group, an aluminum oxide with a hardness of 9. With hardness just below that of Diamonds, Rubies are one of the toughest gemstones, and with no cleavage, breakage rarely occurs.
Its name comes from Latin, Rubeus, for the color red. Fine pieces are found in Burma, India & Thailand. Microscopic inclusions, sometimes called “silk”, are a normal characteristic of Rubies. However, heating tends to dissolve these inclusions. The existence of inclusions provides traces to the Rubies’ origin and can be used to separate natural from synthetic stones.

Ruby is a stone which is associated with the enhancement of courage & passion.

The inner side of the yellow golden ring is highly polished for the comfort of wearing it. The outer side was provided with a structure for a sparkling light-reflection.
