In south France, nearby the border, there is a region called ‘catalan’. A dialect mixes Spanish and French into a colourful language. The sun brightens the shadows, the very fierce wind polishes the environment. In the plains towards the mountains Pyrenees, vineyards produce a distinct flavour of wine.
During the summer it’s a crowded place for tourists. Outside this short period, the ghost of emptiness wanders around the abandoned streets. Once you’ve been there, the only thing you have to do to remember your stay, is open a bottle of regional wine and close your eyes while tasting it.
