Have a impression of Figueres. Figueres is a small city 100 km north of Barcelona. in the Empord? region close to the French border, in Catalonia, Spain.

The city itself is quite unimpressive.  There is not much to see if it was not for Dali. The streets could have been anywhere in Spain. 
That’s what’s makes this scene so interesting…

Figueres was Salvador Dali’s hometown. He was one of the most important painters of the 20th century. He is best known for his surrealist work identified by its bizarre, dreamlike images. In Figueres you can find the Dali Museum, full of surrealist master pieces. Dali himself is buried inside his Museum.
