Autumn can be bright and colourful. It wasn’t here in this little village which is situated between Liège and Namur in Belgium.

The narrow streets follow the curbs of the surrounding hills. Rain seems to reside here. Instead of making the pavement shine, it provides a depressing atmosphere. The carbon-grey houses spread a lonely feeling. Unlike other small villages, no dogs are barking here, no children are playing. It is a sad view upon a place which will be abandoned in some years. All inhabitants move to a bigger, more lively place. Only history remains the silent witness of untold stories.
