Photo Diary
My photo diary is a booklet in which I combine small prints of pictures. Contact prints of a first selection of images are combined and matched according to the spirit of the photo journey. They stand on their own or make a series which inspire me to the meaning of photography as an art expression. Closing the book allows time to create a new story. When all images are no longer floating and purified from ‘first impressions’, an interesting story remains. Sometimes I just end up with one word of the story, often a sentence or a poem. Using these sentences in an exhibition, allows me to write a story with images. It is not my intention to dictate what to read, but to offer an open invitation to a imaginary journey.

This series of pictures invites you to :

Café ‘Rive Gauche’ somewhere in France. The village is so small that its name has vanished from any map and that time has forgotten to go on in this peaceful place. Drinking a café-au-lait in the dim light, observing the locals who have a croissant as breakfast, let you forget the ‘bright light, big city’ feeling of today. In this place a moment can take a while and a story is never ended. Life continues to story into the next day.
